Dear Grandma
And Grandpa

I still remember being small
And reaching out for you.
I whispered all my hopes and fears
And things I hoped to do.

I treasure scenes from yesterday
And all our shared delights.
And now God’s sent a special love
To share my days and nights.

And you will ever have a place
So deep within my heart.
And I will always think of you
When we must be apart.

I’m thankful for the love we share,
And I’ll still reach for you,
For no one else can cheer one’s heart
The way grandparents do.
